Written in 1787, the United States Constitution is a living document stating that the United States government is committed to providing equality, liberty and justice for all US citizens and government officials. Constitution Day is celebrated each year on September 17th to commemorate the date delegates to the Convention signed the Constitution.
Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year is required to hold an educational program about the U.S. Constitution for its students. Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine recognizes this day and celebrates the Constitution’s birthday with Constitution focused events for the full student body. We recognize and educate students on this important aspect of history annually, recognizing the enduring strength of our Constitution. Activities include Q&A’s, word searches, etc.
Look out for an email from email@example.com announcing Constitution Day activities this year.
